Urea Based Emollients
What is Urea?
Urea is a substance that is found naturally in the skin, which by its nature is very attracted to water. It is used to help rehydrate dry, scaly skin. Dry skin results in lack of water in the outer layer of skin cells known as the statum corneum.
How does a Urea based emollient work?
Urea based creams heal skin by dissolving dry, damaged cells as it draws in moisture and helps skin retain it, leaving a healthful texture. The active ingredient in these creams, Urea, is naturally present in the outer layer of the skin and is well established, scientifically proven, potent therapy against the pain and itching of dry skin. It is a powerful hydrating, moisturizing agent, that helps to maintain the integrity of the skin.

Vitamin A supplements aid in maintaining a strong immune system, fight skin inflammation, support healthy skin and cell growth, and prevent malignant skin growths that may be caused by skin warts. We recommend taking Vitamin A supplements if you suffer with plantar warts, as people with a weakened immune system are more prone to getting a wart virus than others. Consumption of Vitamin A ensures that one enjoys a healthy immune system that functions properly. Vitamin A is also important for healthy epithelial membranes and healthy skin.
Vitamin A contains antioxidant properties that counteract free radicals in the body system that cause cellular and tissue damage. It also prevents one's cells from becomeing overactive. Vitamin A is also required for skin re-growth and wound healing. It is necessary for the support of all internal and external epithelial cells. It also aids in the formation of glycoproteins. Glycoproteins help the cells come together, creating soft tissues. Vitamin A regulates skin cell differentiation and in so doing inhibits the replication cycle of the HPV virus and consequently, the formation of warts. A study conducted by the University of New York showed that consumption of Vitamin A helps control malignant cells in your body.
Zinc supplements aid in regulating immune function and wound healing. We recommend taking Zinc supplements if you suffer with plantar warts, as people with a weakened immune system are more prone to getting a wart virus than others.
Zinc is an "essential trace element" because our bodies only need very small amounts of it. According to the European Journal of Immunology, the human body needs zinc to activate T lymphocytes (T cells). T cells help the body control and regulate immune responses, and attack infected or cancerous cells. Zinc deficiency can severely impair immune system function.
Zinc also plays a role in wound healing. Zinc helps to maintain skin integrity and structure. Patients experiencing chronic wounds or ulcers often have deficient zinc metabolism and lower serum zinc levels.
NeuRemedy is a dietary supplement containing a signature benfotiamine product, NeuRemedy, along with methylcobalamin, a naturally occurring highly bioactive spcialzed form of Vitamin B12. Non-Woven Fabric Medical Tape
Non-woven fabric medical tape is a self-adhesive fabric sheet for secure and rapid fixation. It is made from white polyester material and coated with hypoallergenic adhesive on quick-release backing paper. This medical tape also provides complete coverage of the entire dressing, thus reducing the risk of contamination. Heel Pain Kit
What is a Heel Pain Kit?
Our Heel Pain Kit is a kit specifically for those who suffer with Plantar Fasciitis.
This kit is also helpful if you suffer with arch pain, or ball of the foot pain.
All components of our kit are easy to use, and have proven to reduce the
painful symptoms of Plantar Fasciitis.
What is in the Heel Pain Kit?
Foot Roller: Specially designed for your feet; the foot roller is a rigid tubular device constructed of natural rubber. The foot roller can be placed in the freezer, and the foot is rolled over this device to help break up fibrous adhesions and stimulate blood to come to the area to begin the healing process. This is also a form of icing.
Plant Based Topical Pain Relief: In combination with the foot roller, we recommend our patients to use a Plant Based Topical Analgesic, which is made with natural mint leaves, and provides temporary relief when applied to painful areas. It has a cooling, analgesic effect, and is a form of icing as well.
Resistance Band: A Medium-strength Resistance Band is used to perform stretching exercises. Many times, the cause of plantar heel and arch pain is a result of an imbalance between the gastrocnemius/ soleal complex (calf muscle) and the extensor muscles (muscles on the front of your leg). Stretching the gastrocnemeus/soleus muscle group and strengthening the extensor msucle group will help correct any imbalances.
How Do I Know If I Should Use This Kit?
As with any medical condition, always consult your chiropodist, family physician or health care professional before beginning treatment.
