Heel Pain Kit
What is a Heel Pain Kit?
Our Heel Pain Kit is a kit specifically for those who suffer with Plantar Fasciitis.
This kit is also helpful if you suffer with arch pain, or ball of the foot pain.
All components of our kit are easy to use, and have proven to reduce the
painful symptoms of Plantar Fasciitis.
What is in the Heel Pain Kit?
Foot Roller: Specially designed for your feet; the foot roller is a rigid tubular device constructed of natural rubber. The foot roller can be placed in the freezer, and the foot is rolled over this device to help break up fibrous adhesions and stimulate blood to come to the area to begin the healing process. This is also a form of icing.
Plant Based Topical Analgesic: In combination with the foot roller, we recommend our patients to use a Plant Based Topical Analgesic, which is made with natural mint leaves, and provides temporary relief when applied to painful areas. It has a cooling, analgesic effect, and is a form of icing as well.
Resistance Band: A Medium-strength Resistance Band is used to perform stretching exercises. Many times, the cause of plantar heel and arch pain is a result of an imbalance between the gastrocnemius/ soleal complex (calf muscle) and the extensor muscles (muscles on the front of your leg). Stretching the gastrocnemeus/soleus muscle group and strengthening the extensor msucle group will help correct any imbalances.
How Do I Know If I Should Use This Kit?
As with any medical condition, always consult your chiropodist, family physician or health care professional before beginning treatment.
